"It Can't Happen Here" Department: Eugenics

Often it is said that, "[Fill-In-The-Blank] Can't Happen Here". The San Francisco Chronicle did an enlightening article on the American Eugenics movement that not just DID happen here, but also without which it is questionable whether Hitler would have been able to kill as many as he did:
