From KSAL radio (Salina, Kansas), June 5, 2006:

A Salina Police Officer who shot a burglary suspect in the leg on Friday, May 26th is back to work.

Officer Jamie Grover was on paid administrative leave during an investigation into the shooting last week. No criminal conduct was found during the investigation and she was returned to full duty on Friday night.

Grover accidentally shot 19-year-old Thomas Hewitt in the right leg as he was in the process of burglarizing the Orscheln's store on North Ohio Street. The bullet went clear through Hewitt's leg, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment before being arrested.
