Defending Wolves From Idaho & From Others Who Don't Get It

An old friend of mine responded to a plea to stop the Idaho Wolf Slaughter, in which wolves will be killed "by any means necessary", even where they are protected under the Endanged Species Act. The response indicated we environmentalists and defenders of wolves approve of "animal ethnic cleansing", and continued:

I am totally confused as to why it makes a difference whether it is the great Hunter and his family eating the deer and elk or the wolves eating them.

Still Confused

My response:

Dear Confused,

Allow me to alleviate your mental anguish.

Nature has provided for the proper balance. The strong survive, the weak are devoured by those further up the food chain.

But Man, in his Almighty arrogance, has taken in upon himself to kill indiscriminately, to kill for convenience, to kill for economic profit, to kill for fun. Unlike the balance provided by nature, Man has crafted tools to destroy that balance. Thanks to the Wisdom of Man, over 60 million people were killed during World War II alone because of Man's supposed superiority. Man, however "doesn't get it".

Earth did not evolve due because of supposedly higher life forms blowing away those deemed "expendable". Life on Earth evolved because of balance established by a truly Higher and wiser Power.

Studies have shown that Earth could feed upwards of 20 million humans were they to turn to a vegetarian diet. But Almighty Man, in His Solemn and Infinite Wisdom, prefers to eat flesh, with the result that, every four seconds, another human dies because of malnutrition or starvation.

Oh Yes, let us humans with our pristine track record continue to impose our Supreme Wisdom, until, at last,
Nature bats back, and erases human life altogether as Nature ultimately does with parasites.
