Think It's Hot Here/Prayer For The Troops

Today's inanity is an email asking for prayers for the troops in Iraq (does the prayer include the Iraqis fighting to get control of their country?) where the temperature hits 122 or more. You can see a typical example of the email HERE.

My response:

"Dear Lord, we humans have f***ed things up again. We let our highest offices be stolen, we sat on our posteriors while some of our best and brightest were sent off to kill thousands of the brown people you created, just so our oil companies could make more money. Please Lord, don't expect us to do anything about this mess. Just put an air-conditioned bubble around the troops we put in harms way while we focus on more important things--like who's going to emerge the winner from the Big Brother house".
