Memo To ABC News: Go Torture Yourself

My email to ABC's Nightline, with a copy to ABC News generally:

I watched with horror your segment of November 27, 2006, on whether caloric restriction can lead to a longer life, http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=2683452. That story included reporting from a facility of torture in which monkeys, almost identical to humans in their DNA, and who experience the very same feelings and emotions of humans, are kept in small metal cages so that soulless corporations can profit from their enslavement. Your correspondent was completely indifferent and oblivious to the miserable lives that those innocent monkeys are forced to endure.

But of course, the Mickey Mouse network, which makes millions if not billions of dollars annually off of the pharmaceutical drug cartel, lacks the integrity or moral fiber to challenge "animal experimentation".

If there is to be "animal experimentation", let it be on heartless ABC executives, reporters, and other personnel.

Disgusted,

Terry L. Clark
