Embrace The Hate
While insisting that George W. Bush isn't focused much on how history will remember him, Karl Rove tells the Washington Post that the president's biggest legacy will be the "Bush doctrine" -- preemptive war mixed with the notion that countries that make nice with terrorists should be treated like them.
Won't the disaster that is Iraq discourage future presidents from embracing Bush's way? "Could be," Rove says. "But it has a logic of force and nature and reality that will cause people to examine it, adjust it, test it, resist it -- but ultimately embrace it."
