Prison To Bolster The Poll Number

After ushering in a more lenient parole policy by freeing nearly 80 convicted murderers and kidnappers in his first year-and-a-half in office, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has clamped down on the release of inmates serving life sentences.

Dear Editor:

HerrGoobernator's reduction in the numbers of those granted parole who are serving life sentences is a no-brainer: He doesn't want to face the "soft on crime" nonsense when he runs against Barbara Boxer in 2010.
