Move On/Gas Prices: Give ME A Break

Move On sent out a mass email captioned "Give Us A Break!", protesting price gouging by the gasoline companies, asking for petition signatures to make such conduct a federal offense.

My email to MoveOn.org:

We should be campaigning to demand stringent fuel-efficient vehicles. Electric vehicles. Solar, hydrogen FROM WATER and other alternative-energy vehicles.

Focusing on price just encourages people to continue to use vehicles powered by the internal combustion engine and increase global warming.

Get a clue, get your priorities in order, get a copy of "Internal Combustion: How Corporations and Governments Addicted the World to Oil and Derailed the Alternatives" by Edwin Black, or rent the DVD "Who Killed The Electric Car?".
