Dems Call for Combat To Continue Into 2008

Dems Call for Combat to End by 2008

A senior Democrat said Tuesday it was obvious the Iraqi government has made no progress and the only way to propel it was to begin pulling out U.S. troops.

Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, proposed legislation with Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., that would order President Bush to begin pulling out troops in 120 days and end combat by April 30, 2008.

This is what passes for "reporting"? Reporting the drivel, reporting the propaganda.

If the Dems were really wanting an end to combat, pull the US troops now, don't continue the slaughter for another 9 months.

Troops remaining for "counterterrorism"? The biggest terrorist power in Iraq is the colonial power that invaded it. That's sheer terror. Are the Dems saying the US is going to throw itself out? Or at least escort Halliburton and Blackwater out of Iraq at gunpoint? Nada.

Train "Iraqi security forces"? Uh, no, that would be the local imperial puppets.

"Protect US infrastructure"? Uh, like OIL???

Not enought pressure on Iraqi leaders? What, you mean murdering more than 650,000 isn't enough?

"To do what they have to do"? That would be to surrender their oil at gunpoint.
