The People's Email Network has launched a petition drive to encourage CONgress to Impeach Alberto Gonzales.

Setting aside for another day the question of when such petition drives are anything but an exercise in mutual mass masturbation, why waste time with Gonzales?

Gonzales is just a minor servant of the Fourth Reich, doing what his Masters tell him to do (how far civil rights for Americans of Hispanic origin have been set back by Gonzales I also save for another day). If you want to slay a monster, you cut off its head--not prick its finger (although with Gonzales maybe it's the other way around).
