Limbaugh: We need segregated buses
In a remark extraordinary even by the standards of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, the right-wing radio heavyweight declared on his program Wednesday that the United States needed to return to racially segregated buses.
Referring to an incident in which a white student was beaten by black students on a bus, Limbaugh said: “I think the guy’s wrong. I think not only it was racism, it was justifiable racism. I mean, that’s the lesson we’re being taught here today. Kid shouldn’t have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff. This is Obama’s America.”

Limbaugh’s comments came after a called complained to say that local law enforcementsaid the attack probably wasn’t racially motivated. The incident had been hyped by the conservative Drudge Report, which posted a video of the fracas.
“Police initially said the beating of the white student by two black students appeared to be racially motivated,” the Associated Press wrote. “But police on Tuesday backed away from that.”
That didn’t stop Limbaugh from making his comments Wednesday.
“In Obama’s America, the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering, ‘Yay, right on, right on, right on, right on,” Limbaugh also said. “I wonder if Obama’s going to come to come to the defense of the assailants the way he did his friend Skip Gates up there at Harvard.”

You are a distorter of the truth! Your blog is a discrace! Why don't you print more of the transcript so that people can read Rush's comments in context. You are leaving out the part of the transcript leading up to his comments on purpose to try to distort Rush's comment for your own agenda. He was clearly joking and refering to News Week's article saying that white people are born racist. Because of that article, that's why the black kids were beating up that white kid. He was joking around and being sarcastic. Wow, you are ignorant.
How impressive, an anonymous comment, with no Link to any transcript of what OxyLinbaugh said, not even aware that "News Week" magazine is actually "Newsweek".
Nothing was out of context. The previously-thinly-veiled racism of OxyLimbaugh came roaring out loud-and-clear, ignoring what those actually on the scene had to say, and making things up in order to argue for segregation.
People like OxyLimbaugh, etc., are all unprincipled caricatures who will say anything for money. At least George Wallace believed some of what he said.

Limbaugh Segregation
I think Joe had it right. You are a disgrace. If you can't even find the transcript for yourself. It is an easy find but I guess it is easier to have someone else do your work for you. Take a moment, read the transcript, and take a second look at what you are writing. If you are intellectually honest you will come to a different conclusion.

It's easy to find the transcript on the Rush Limbaugh web site. Let's face it. If two white kids had beaten up a black kid it would be considered racist. The whole race argument sadly has no end since it keeps being brought up in a way to blame conservatives. Jimmy Carter's comments were inappropriate. Btw, I'm the father of a multi-racial family.
Oh Terry, Terry, you have to point out petty things like how I misspelled "Newsweek". Look, I'm an engineer not a writer/blogger like you attempt to be. I work with logic and mathematics all day so that my children can someday do meaning less tasks like you. Logic I can clearly see, is not a premise for your argument. Especially when you need to call people "OxyLimbaugh". I'm sure you have never made any mistakes in your life and/or have never had any kind of "vice" in your life. I'm sure you are perfect in your little liberal world where you hug trees. Open your eyes. Why are you so angry? Why must you hate so much? Do you need a hug from something other than a tree? I'll hug you. Did you have a bad child hood? Did you daddy not pay you enough attention? Did you know that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican? You can google that. It was the liberals like you and George Wallace that tried to block civil rights reform. I hope learn not to be so angry.
