Pharmaceutical Company Claptrap Proliferates

Today's Chronicle had a so-called news article that could just as well have been issued by the press office of any major pharmaceutical company. My letter to the Chronicle:


Dear Editor,

How sad that the Chronicle is publishing drug industry spin ("Cancer Therapies Proliferate"). The day that BigPharma comes up with a drug that cures cancer will be the day that BigOil comes out with an engine that runs on water.

There are cures for cancer, but you won't hear about them from BigPharma. And apparently you won't read about them in the Chronicle.
