What Price Life - Closure

The Kansas City Star reports in today's edition that a second opinion has been obtained by the family of Michael Todd, which has concluded that he is indeed brain dead. The family yesterday agreed to the removal of life support.

How unfortunate that Michael's family had to go to court and to the news media in order to have a qualified physician of their own choosing determine whether this 14-year-old was still alive.
