Karl Rove, Despicable Soul

"Karl is a shameless bastard. Small wonder his mother killed herself. Once she discovered what a despicable soul she had spawned she apparently saw no other way out."
--Larry Johnson, on Karl Rove, quoted in Wayne Madsen Reports, June 18, 2006

And more from that same Wayne Madsen posting:

In mid-summer 2004, some time after I wrote an article for CounterPunch about the agit-prop crimes of Karl Rove and while I was speaking out against Rove on a number of radio shows, I was contacted by a credible source in Palm Springs, California who told me he was talking to one of his acquaintances who was just getting over the death of his longtime "significant other." Then the Palm Spring resident dropped the big bombshell -- the acquaintance's "significant other" was Louis Rove, the adoptive father of Karl Rove. Louis Rove reportedly suffered from emphysema.

And this tidbit from the Guardian UK:

On his 19th birthday, his father walked out on him. Soon afterwards, he found out that he was not his father after all, the news dropped into a dinner-table conversation by his aunt and uncle.
