Petaluma Death Camp: More Ramifications

My letter to the editor of the Arizona Republic, basically a recycling of that posted previously, garnered the following response:

Whoa, Terry. Sounds like your whacked-out rhetoric came from outer space. C'mon back to earth and try to get your arms around that thing called reality.

Just out of curiosity, where do you come up with this "kill and maim Iraqis in droves" statement? I'm over here in Iraq right now, and I just don't see it. Maybe your alien friends told you about it? (Mike5383, June 29, 2006 10:04PM)

Not one to cower in the shadows, I posted the following reply:

It would be interesting to come back and revisit this topic in 40 years or so. Sadly Mike5383, that will probably not be the case for you and I. The depleted uranium that is being spread throughout Iraq is not stopping with people with brown skin whose sand is sitting on top of "our oil". I'm sure the US government isn't letting you know the full truth any more than they have all of the Vietnam Veterans who are have been abandoned and are experiencing the consequences of the widespread use of Agent Orange along with untold thousands of other human beings in southeast Asia. With depleted uranium, ask people who lived through the first Gulf War, visit http://www.ccnr.org/du_hague.html and http://www.xs4all.nl/~stgvisie/ud_main.html, or just open your eyes and look around you. You can get a current if very conservative estimate of the Iraq death toll due to more traditional means over at http://www.iraqbodycount.net any time you like. These are the consequences when life becomes just another piece of garbage to be discarded when it gets in the way of our convenience.
Good luck, Mike5383. You'll need it. Sincerely, Terry L. Clark
