What's News At CBS: Bill Gates & Dan Rather
CBS deemed Bill Gates getting out of day-to-day micromanagement of Micro$oft to be worthy of a News Alert--even tho Bill's made it clear for years that this was eventually going to happen. CBS wrote:
"Microsoft Corp. has announced that co-founder and chairman Bill Gates relinquishing daily duties in 2008 to work more closely with his foundation. Gates will continue to serve as chairman and adviser on key projects."
Of much more interest, tho, is the relative silence by CBS on the news that Dan Rather is being unceremoniously kicked out. This strange view as to what is important in the world of the black eye network caused me to send CBS the following email:
How about a "News Alert" on CBS' royal screwing of long-term dedicated and honorable employee Dan Rather?
