Softening The Masses For Martial Law

Responding to an increased number of soldiers getting in trouble at Manhattan nightspots, Fort Riley has begun having military officers walk the beat with police three nights a week.

The military officers don't have the authority to make arrests, carry firearms, physically restrain soldiers or participate in the surveillance or capture of civilians. But they do have military authority over soldiers and can enforce military codes of conduct.

As the American people see increasing numbers of military troops on our streets, will they wake up to the creeping totalitarianism? And if they begin to wake up, will it be imposed anyhow?
