What gives? The Mercury News has a good reputation, right?

Guess again, Alice. Welcome to Propagandaland.

The Mercury News is one of many papers that has been assimilated by Dean Singleton's MediaNews corporation.

So what's *really* going on? The fall erections [sic] are over, and the public is getting screwed again. What, you thought the declining gas prices as November 2006 approached were anything other than an attempt to lull the American people into a false sense of non-panic? Ha! Connecticut is the best example, with Independent-In-Name-Only Joseph LIEberman getting back into the U.S. Senate over genuine Democrat Ned Lamont.

Bend over and grab yer gas cap, because the multinational oil cartel is just getting warmed up, with Iran their next target.
