Wal-Mart: Watch Out For Falling IQs

Another internet scam hooked in someone from Salina. Police were called to Wal-Mart because a 68-year-old woman was trying to cash five fraudulent money orders for $500 a piece.

She told Police she was cashing them for someone she had met online named Mark Marcson who was in Nigeria and needed money to get back to the United States. The money orders had come from Santa Barbara, California.

Since the money orders were found to be frauds before they were cashed the Salina woman did not lose any money.
