Priorities: Deer or Stuff

The Salina [Kansas] Journal published an editorial advocating the mass killing of deer, basically because of all the damage to vehicles caused by their colliding with deer. That editorial, and my response, were previously covered in detail.

If one were to look at the dollar amounts, teenagers cause much more damage to vehicles than deer. Should we adopt a similar "solution" since, in the minds of some, protection of property is paramount?
