Blaming Bu$h's Katrina Victims

The wire services ran an article on the supposed crime wave sweeping Texas, particularly Houston, that could have been written by the Ku Klux Klan. My letter to the SF Chronicle and multiple other newspapers that ran that travesty:


Dear Editor:

Of course the alleged upsurge of crime in Houston following the disaster in New Orleans and influx of refugees has nothing to do with the economy tanking, the complete despair of people suffering from being uprooted from their homes and families, having no place to call their own-not even a FEMA trailer, the lack of jobs in Texas, and the use of illegal immigrants to rebuild New Orleans while simultaneously screwing the people of darker complexion who once lived there.
