Saving Who From Who...

This afternoon I received an email from one of the many wonderful people involved in animal rescue, concerning a dog in LA, that stated, in relevant part, as follows:


SOS! DOG ESCAPED AC AND NEEDS RESCUING!!!!

This morning a dog was found wandering... The dog was sweet and docile to the people who found it. Animal Control was called and they came out. Once the dog saw the officer the dog took off. The officer cornered the dog and was able to catch it with the pole/rope thing they use. When trying to put the dog in the truck, the dog escaped and took off running again - no doubt because it was terrified... The dog was last seen on...

Please, if anyone is in that area, keep your eyes out for this poor scared baby...

As I wrote last night:

Those who work at and contribute to the noble efforts at Noah's Ark recognized that where there is life, there is hope. And that when government agencies in California become involved, there is, all too often, death.

The dog escaped from those who would become his executioners. Frankly, I have difficulty with this one. Seize the prisoner, and take him to his death?

What he needs rescuing from is the homicidal killers at "Animal Control".
