Mayor Newsom's Latest Hallucination

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, having repeated carnal knowledge of the wife of his now-former close friend and campaign manager, has gone the Hollywood route. My letter to the SF Chronicle:


Dear Editor:

Since when does betraying one of the best friends you ever had amount to "personal mistakes" or "personal lapses in judgment"?

As Gavin Newsom shuffles off to the Mel Gibson School Of Redemption And Bullmanure, one would have to be highly inebriated indeed to believe that he should hold any governmental office whatsoever in the future.
