Not All Kansans Are Bloodthirsty Savages

Hurray for Amber Koons, who appreciates the value of sentient life, and who does not blissfully kill because another being is somehow momentarily inconvenient.

Now Salina Journal publisher Tom Bell probably would have aimed for Bambi and hit the accelerator...

A Lindsborg woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident in rural Saline County early Tuesday morning.

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office, at around 2:00 in the morning, 19-year-old Amber Koons swerved to miss a deer on South Burma Road near the McPherson County line. Koon's truck rolled four times, coming to rest on the passenger side.

Koons walked to a nearby farmhouse where she called for help. She was transported by EMS to the hospital in Lindsborg with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident happened on South Burma Road near Rose Hill Road in rural Saline County.
