Dropping Flies

SCAM ALERT - "Estimate from Billing Department of PayPal"

Unlike most scams, this one didn’t have the usual "sore thumbs". I had to Google, "Estimate from Billing Department of PayPal", which led to several good results.

The easy test might be the number in the email. Google it. If it were legit, it would show up as being PayPal's. Instead, hardly any results:

888-449-1420

There are several phone numbers used by the scammers, so if the above isn't in the email you received, that doesn't matter--it's just provided as an illustration/confirmation.

I got the "Walmart eGift Card" version. Some of the threads indicated that, like myself, the recipient had recently canceled their PayPal account over Free Speech.

It's a scam, and one of the best I've seen. And I've seen a lot over the years.

You'll Have Less And The NYT Says You Should Be Happy For The Scraps

Today's Gaslighting by the Bu$h League Times: You might not be able to afford to live, but your tax rate will be lower! Fixin' To Tax Rag?

“The rapidly rising cost of food, energy and other daily staples could allow many Americans to reduce their tax bills next year, the I.R.S. confirmed on Tuesday.

Tax rates are adjusted for inflation, which in typical times means incremental movements in the thresholds for what income is taxed at what rate. But after a year that saw America’s fastest price growth in four decades, the shift in rates is far more dramatic: an increase of about 7 percent.”

At least the article points out that the wealthy will benefit more:

“In dollar figures, the shift will be largest at the highest end of the income spectrum. The top income tax rate of 37 percent will apply next year to individuals earning $578,125 — or $693,750 for married couples who file joint returns. That is up from $539,900 for individuals this year. The difference: Nearly $40,000 worth of individual income is eligible to be taxed next year at a lower rate of 35 percent.”

But the peasants get something, right? Not much, certainly not anything close to offsetting or even meaningfully mitigating the savage beating they're getting from Bidenflation:

“Further boosting filers, the standard deduction will rise to $27,700 for couples, an increase of $1,800 from this year. For individuals, it will be a $900 increase, to $13,850.”

Tucked halfway into the ninth paragraph of the article is the bit of silliness quoted below. Anyone who has bought groceries during the past several months knows the real impact is a lot more than four percent:

“Inflation-adjusted weekly earnings declined nearly 4 percent from September last year to this September, the Labor Department reported last week.”

But back to The Important Class:

“And heirs of wealthy individuals who die in 2023 will not need to pay estate taxes on the first $12,920,000 they inherit — an increase of nearly $1 million from the exclusion for the estates of people who die this year.”

Spectacle

"Everything must be questioned. This is an important principle that allows us to keep a sober eye.

In a society of the spectacle, of propaganda and of the totalitarian nature of Western systems, doubt is a fundamental stepping-stone to get out of the cave."

Washed Up In Wisconsin

Actors like Martin Sheen and Julie Louis-Dreyfus used to give the impression of being do-gooders seeking a better world, and if one didn't ask many questions or scratch the surface much, that was plausible. Now they're just part of the Death Cult. Will the world really be better if most of us are dead, survivors supposedly happy with far less?

The Deadline Hollywood article indicates the former celebrities are targeting US Senator Ron Johnson, one of the relatively few principled Republican officeholders. Johnson doesn't believe in the CV1984 mass extinction effort, and thinks children have value that does not include their blood being used to create Adrenochrome to jack up Pedowood elites and keep their appearance youthful.

From the article: “By the end of the two-hour event, about $686,000 had been raised.”

That's a really pathetic amount given that anyone could have tuned in and contributed money. The registered Democrats have been hurt badly by their party's policies, and have no incentive to deepen their own pain. It sounds like they are continuing to see the light, though like many of the rest of us it's not clear how we proceed from here.

If the has-been “celebrities” are serious, I'm sure they can sell some of their bling to Rick and raise much more than a lousy $700K.

McCrappy Meals

Why is a recycled—it might even be flat-out copied/pasted--product rollout considered "news" rather than advertising that should be paid for? I guess you'll have to ask ABC WXYZ of Detroit.

Why is there a Byline for hacking up a McDonald's Press Release hairball?

Moving on to the Title of the “article”/press release, the first trick is conning people into thinking the GMO chemical-filled crap served at McDonald's is "food" rather than slow-kill genocide.

All treats, no tricks: McDonald's bringing back Halloween Happy Meal

From ABC's WRTV Indianapolis, sporting a different Byline, another Press Release announcing that, if you didn't die from Mickey D's toxins and malnutrition during childhood, they're still coming for you!

Form III

"Totalitarianism no longer comes in the form of communism or fascism. It comes now from corporations. And these corporations fear those who think and write, those who speak out and form relationships freely. Individual freedom impedes their power and their profits. Our democracy, as Snowden I think has revealed, has become a fiction. The state, through elaborate forms of political theater, seeks to maintain this fiction to keep us passive. And if we wake up, the state will not shy away from draconian measures. The goal is complete subjugation, the iron rule of our corporations and our power elite."
-Chris Hedges,
"One Nation Under Surveillance" civil liberties conference at Central Connecticut State University, March 29, 2014
